Our JV Tennis team participated in two recent matches last week against Carolina Academy and Kings Academy. On September 12th, our Stallions took a huge win against Carolina Academy, winning every match they competed in. Perry Wise, Elizabeth Schutte, Ella Cumbee, and Avery Belue all won their singles. Competing doubles were Perry Wise and Pagie Kellahan, as well as Elizabeth Schutte and Avery Belue, and both teams came out victorious. Our Lady Stallions also played Laurence Manning Academy last week, still coming out with a few wins despite competing against a AAA team. Perry Wise and Sofia Jacobs both won their single matches, and winning doubles that day were Perry Wise and Paige Kellahan. Each of our tennis teams are barreling through the season with many victories and hard-fought games.
The WA Cross Country team, coached by Dr. Michelle Butterworth, consists of: Hannah Hall, Abby Ward, Jenna Kate Burgess, Gabe Martins De Medeiros, and Kaydn Cooper. On August 31st, they ran at Sumter Patriot Park, and last Monday they ran at Lowcountry Prep. This upcoming week on Wednesday they will be having a meet at Conway Christian. Wish them the best of luck as they work on improving their times and powering through despite the high heat and humidity! Keep an eye out for them and make sure to wave if you see them training hard around Sandy Bay.
