The track and field team traveled to Sumter High School to compete last Tuesday, March 22. Caleb Kline got second in triple jump jumping 39 feet 4 inches. Mitchell Floyd got fourth jumping 37 feet 2 inches. Caleb Kline placed fifth jumping 18 feet in long jump. Micah Balder got second place in Javelin with 115 ft 8 in. Billie Ann Patrick got first place with 28 feet 11 inches. Iva Grace Wilson secured second place throwing 28 feet.
In the track division William Caulder won first place to earn 10 points in the 3200m run. Josie Tisdale, Jenna Burgess, Glorianna Flinchum, and Hannah Hall won first place to earn 10 points in the 4x800m relay. Kaydn Cooper, Billy Godwin, Matthew Stone, and Hardy Brown placed fourth earning 4 points in the 4x800m relay. Amelia Floyd placed seventh to earn 2 points in the 100m hurdles. Mitchell Floyd won first place to earn 10 points in the 110m hurdles. Kam Morris placed fourth to earn 5 points in the 110m hurdles. Micah Balder placed fifth to earn 4 points in the 110m hurdles. Camden Moore placed third to earn 6 points in the 100m dash. Jenna Burgess placed ninth to earn 1 point in the 1600m run. Hardy Brown placed third to earn 6 points in the 1600m run. Amelia Floyd, Sophie Kellahan, Iva Grace Wilson, Sarah Kensley Kellahan placed seventh to earn 2 points in the 4x100m relay. Camden Moore, Kam Morris, Teague Ward, and Caleb Kline placed fifth to earn 4 points in the 4x100m relay. Teague Ward placed second to earn 8 points in the 400m dash. Amelia Floyd placed third to earn 6 points in the 400m hurdles. Mitchell Floyd placed second to earn 8 points in the 400m hurdles. Micah Balder placed third to earn 5 points in the 400m hurdles. Kaydn Cooper placed sixth to earn 3 points in the 400m hurdles. William Caulder placed fifth to earn 4 points in the 800m run.
