For Read Across America Week, Mrs. Amber McElveen’s 1st period literature class took part in a special service activity by volunteering to read to some of our littlest Stallions.
Elaina Easler, Jayce Moree, and John Wayne McKenzie, along with Mrs. McElveen, visited Mrs. Brandi’s 4K class to share stories and celebrate the excitement of reading. Our kindergarteners loved listening to the books and spending time with the older students.
Activities like this help encourage a love of reading while also building connections between our elementary and older students. It was a wonderful way to celebrate Read Across America Week and remind our littlest Stallions that reading is an adventure, no matter how old you are!
